History
Ye Olde Town Bocce League started in the fall of 2013 with a modest goal of attracting 25 players.
Instead, the turnout was 66 — enough for 10 teams.
The league has flourished, with hundreds of players in both the spring and fall seasons.
All told, this spring there were 48 teams — 24 playing on Tuesday nights and 24 playing on Thursday nights.
Frank Hurst (left on above picture) was the founding commissioner and has been the driving force in the league’s success.
